Thailand has been a religious place for a long time now. Everywhere you go is a testimonial to that only. And so, this tour takes you to two such renowned location deep in the jungles of Krabi. The Wat Tahm Suea, or more commonly known as the Tiger Cave Temple is a meditation center built atop a small hill that resembles a tiger’s claw, hence the name.

This beautiful temple is surrounded by beautiful hills covered with an unending greenery. But before this, the day tour will start by visiting the Sra Morakot, or the emerald pool. This 120 sq. meter pool is a part of the Khao Phra Bang Khram Nature Reserve of Krabi and is a freshwater pond with water of an irresistible green hue. This is owed to the mineral deposits from the nearby limestone cliffs, and this is where you will take a short dip in the water for refreshing yourself
About the Activity

  • You will be picked up from the hotel at arouond 8:30 AM in the morning
  • You will be visiting the waterfalls and hot springs before starting on your way to the National Park
  • After Walking for about half an hour, you will arrive at the emerald pool
  • Post lunch, you will start on your way to the Tiger Cave Temple

Tiger Cave Temple – The Tiger Cave Temple  is a Buddhist temple northeast of Krabi, Thailand. One of the most sacred Buddhist sites in the province, it is well known for the tiger paw prints in the cave and a tall Buddha statues which sits at the summit with spectacular views across Krabi Town, mountains and the tropical rain forests.

The Tham Sua temple is a Thai Buddhist meditation centre and also has places of archaeological and historical significance. The foundation of the temple dates back to 1975 when a Vipassana monk named Jumnean Seelasettho (Ajahn Jumnean) went to meditate in the cave. During his meditation, he witnessed tigers roaming around the cave. This discovery led to naming the temple Wat Tham Suea. Another legend says that an actual huge tiger used to live and roam the cave. At the top of the mountain there is a large golden Buddha statue. This statue, other temple buildings, and much of Krabi town can be seen from shrine at the top of the stairs.
