Visit largest Island of Koh Phi Phi Don in Thailand
Visit largest Island of Koh Phi Phi Don in Thailand Predictable, I know, but you really can’t leave Koh Phi Phi Don – the glamorous and beloved star of Thailand – off a list like this. Koh Phi Phi Don is the largest of the Phi Phi Islands and the centre of hedonism in Thailand – a majestic escape from reality featuring crystal-clear water, coconut trees, and buckets full of Red Bull and booze. From Phi Phi Don, make sure to grab a tour of the surrounding islands and beaches, including (of course) the famed Maya Bay – best known for its role in The Beach. Phi Phi Don is now squarely on the tourist map, and tourists from all over the world (especially Europe, Japan, China and the wealthier Southeast Asian countries, e.g., Singapore and Malaysia) flock to the island. Accessible from Phuket and mainland Krabi Province, all tourists must arrive by ferry. (The trip from Phuket takes around 90 minutes.) This has essentially turned the island into a rush of day trippers who overpopulate the island from 11:00-15:00. The island still holds much charm that can be enjoyed in the hours that the flocks from Phuket are not there. While in former times, Phi Phi Don was a serene paradise, parts of it (especially the Ton Sai Bay area) have been exploited for tourism. Restaurants, shops, internet cafes, and shanty townsabound. Despite my love for hidden gems and underdogs, I have to admit that this particular bay is my favourite spot on the ‘best of’ list. The bay itself is gorgeous – being essentially one big colourful reef surrounded by 100-metre high cliffs – but for me it was more about the journey there: a long tail voyage through mangrove trees and clear blue waters and precarious ladders. The trek is completed with a hike through a jungle trail. Maya Bay appears out of nowhere, as if by magic.

Visit Beautiful Beach of Thung Wua Laen in Thailand For those looking for some peace and quiet, head to Thung Wae Laen, located 13 km north of downtown Chumphon. This spot has managed to escape the mass commercialisation of so many beaches in Thailand, and remains a calm and relaxing choice for the weary traveller. There are very few foreign tourists here (they head straight to Koh Tai or Koh Phangan); it’s more a hideout just for locals. With a focus on environmentally friendly recreation (read: no jet skis), Thung Wae Laen attracts a number of kite surfers, wind boarders, and divers to its warm waters and white sand beach. At the end of the day this is the place that you come when you want to escape the five-star resorts and take a well-deserved nap on a deserted beach. Thung Wua Laen will take advantage from its location with fresh air, great weather, water and plentful forest. local people bring out a very lively atmosphere, where their happiness can be ranked as the one of the best in Thailand. it’s important to note that when travelling in Thung Wua Laen and Chumphon people should preserve the existence of nature and the atmosphere, not to make adjustements leading to the destruction that occured in many parts of Thailand. There are different ways to reach this beach from Bangkok – by car, by bus from Bangkok South Bus Terminal, by train and by Nokair arriving to Chumphon. Nokair has 2 flights per day to Chumphon , Happy Air has 1 flight per day to Chumphon. From Chumphon to Thung Wua Laen beach easy reach by yellow songthaew for 15-20 minutes and 30 Baht. The shore around Thung Wua Len has numerous “shrimps farms” which discharge its organic contaminants into the sea. There are days when sea water looks like a broil soup. Jellyfishes sting often in the bay and sandflies sting while sitting on the beach.

Visit Beautiful Island of Aow Luek Bay in Thailand Calling all coral chasers! Aow Luek Bay, located on the beautiful island of Koh Tao, is a superb place to snorkel in Thailand, known for its colourful coral reef and baby black tip reef sharks. The waters are calm and warm, creating a perfect playground for marine life, even in the shallow waters. Aow Luek also happens to be an ideal spot to test your mettle in diving. Thank the shallow bay and sandy bottom that make it perfect for training – just make sure to exert caution and do your research beforehand as there are over 30 dive shops in Koh Tao. Snorkel, swim, or sun yourself on the beach, at Aow Leuk Bay. On either side of the bay, boulders and reefs create underwater gardens teeming with coral, colorful fish, and even the occasional baby reef shark. As with most inshore reefs, there are countless species of marine life to be found here, ranging from the common species of Wrasses, Parrotfish, Butterflyfish and Damselfish. On the outer side of the reef is a sandy bottom with scattered rocks, on which you can find numerous species of Goby, and occasionally Barracuda, Mackerels and Trevallies. In addition to these common inhabitants of the reef, there’s also the possibility of an encounter with less common species such as Turtles and Pipefish and Seahorses .Although it is considered an ideal site for student divers, Aow Leuk also makes for an interesting and relaxing dive for more experienced divers seeking to maximize their dive time.Went there as part of our Oxygen around the island snorkelling tour. The guide reckoned that it was the best coral on the island.

Visit Beautiful Powdery White Sand Of Freedom Beach In Thailand Freedom Beach is one of the least accessible of all the Phuket beaches, but according to our contributors, it is the Best Beach in Phuket. Unless you are in the mood to trek a kilometer through thick jungle over private land, the beach is only accessible by boat. But if you enjoy spending a day in the sunny Phuket weather relaxing on a lounger, Freedom Beach is a good choice. The beach itself is a stretch of beautiful powdery white sand that you will just love to walk on, the entire beach is secluded in a private bay. It almost looks like a setting out of a Hollywood movie. Surrounding the beach are hills covered in thick jungle, giving the entire place the feeling of an exotic beach hideaway. Unlike a lot of the popular beaches, Freedom Beach is cared for by the locals, ensuring that it retains as closet to its natural beauty as possible. There are a number of small restaurants along the south end of the beach if you fancy a bite to eat. Loungers are also available for rent on the top of the beach under the shade of the coconut palms. There are no jet-ski’s or banana boats here, so nothing to spoil the peaceful atmosphere. The water is sectioned off into the north and south which are reserved for swimming, long-tails come and go from the center of the beach. If you are staying in Patong Beach and want to get away from the crowds, or if you simply want to experience the natural beauty of Phuket Island, Freedom Beach is a perfect way to spend a day. Enjoy the relaxing environment lounging on a chair under the shade of a palm tree, sipping on a cold drink and letting all of your worries just drift away. BEACH ACTIVITIES IN THAILAND The south end of Freedom Beach offers some of the absolute best snorkeling on the entire island. Head on out into deeper water and you will find lots of coral and colorful tropical fish. There is a beach volleyball net and a few football goals set up on the beach if you are feeling sporty. The best activity at Freedom Beach is to just lay back and enjoy the beauty of the place. GETTING THERE As the beach is surrounded by private land, the only option is to enter by boat. The easiest way is to catch a long-tail boat from the pier area at the south end of Patong Beach, but that is also the most expensive way as it can cost about 1500 baht round-trip. You can also attempt to hire a boat from the north of Karon Beach or from Tri Trang Beach, but it will prove more difficult. Either way, the boat ride is about 15 minutes and you will pass by some beautiful scenery along the way. Click Here : – Visit Beautiful Powdery White Sand Of Freedom Beach In Thailand

One Of the Best Widest Beaches Of Long Beach, Koh Lanta in Thailand Long Beach on the island of Koh Lantais exactly that — long. It’s also arguably one of the best, widest beaches in Thailand. Restaurants right on the beach and views of Koh Phi Phi’s unique shape on the horizon lend an even more “exotic” feel. Unlike many of the other beaches on Koh Lanta, Long Beach is nearly void of sharp rocks and swimming hazards such as sea urchins. A sloping, soft-sand bottom provides dreamy swimming, both day and night. Although Long Beach once mainly pulled in backpackers for beach bungalows and cheap eats, the scene is considerably more family oriented these days. Regardless, good deals on accommodation can be enjoyed, particularly on the northern side of Long Beach. In the evenings, Long Beach offers just the right amount of social interaction. The parties (some on the beach, some at venues along the road) are easily avoidable — or easily enjoyable — depending upon your whim. Koh Lanta is very much different than its nearby neighbor Phuket. The lack of an airport and need to take a short ferry have provided welcome resistance to development on the island. For now, you won’t find golf courses (aside from the miniature variety) or chain cafes/restaurants anywhere on Koh Lanta. Tip: Storms force Long Beach to practically shut down completely each year in May or June. Although a small handful of businesses remain open, many more are shuttered until the season reopens in November. The beach won’t be clean and even takes on an apocalyptic feel with broken furniture and destroyed thatch roofs during peak of the off season. Visit Undiscovered Island In Thailand If you thought that all of Thailand’s finest islands had been ruined by mismanaged development, Ko Lao Liang will prove you wrong. A little-known remedy for travellers seeking breathtaking Andaman Sea scenery without the crowds, the isolated pair of islands doesn’t even register among Trang province’s more popular destinations. Part of Mu Ko Phetra National Park, Ko Lao Liang’s two islands stand side-by- side some 40 kilometers west of the mainland. All facilities are set up on the southern island, Ko Lao Liang Nong, or “Little Brother Island.” Sporting sunrise views to Ko Sukorn, almost-white-sand beach touches clear teal water that blends into deep emerald and azure blue as you reach the hard coral. It’s The Beach, a fellow traveller had told me during a climbing course in Krabi, southern Thailand. Beautiful, untouched, with great limestone walls, he’d said, and without the suicidal Scot, the tyrannical Tilda Swinton and the mass tourism that ruins nearby Koh Phi Phi Leh (where the movie version of Alex Garland’s novel was shot) on a daily basis. A few days later I’m on my way to Koh Laoliang, which is something of an anomaly in Thailand: a remote island national park ringed by a marine reserve with one perfect beach free of longtails and blissfully uncrowded – because daytrippers aren’t allowed, there are no bungalows or resorts and only 50 people can stay at a time, in a tented camp that’s open only five months of the year . Just getting there is a little adventure. I don’t have to swim with my backpack in a garbage bag like “Richard”, played by Leonardo DiCaprio in the movie, but I do have to take a motorbike, a bus, a taxi and two longtails to reach Laoliang, in neighbouring Trang province, from Krabi. (It’s easier from Trang airport.) The last longtail ride is my favourite part, speeding over a turtle-green Andaman Sea watching flying fish, diving seabirds and our looming destination: twin karst islands 20 kilometres offshore. Forty-five minutes later the boat noses ashore and I step from its bow onto North Laoliang Island and its unbelievably lovely beach. Clean, with dazzling sand devoid of footprints, it’s lapped by swimming pool-clear water and enclosed on three sides by 100-metre climbing walls. Then there’s the accommodation. Don’t blind yourself: shopping, dining, and foot massage are just the cream on the cake. Just walk in Soi Bangla at night and you will understand; everyone is there: guys, couples and even families with kids.
